STATEMENT

Courtney is a breath of fresh air, lighting up our Instagram feed with her take on fashion and style daily. We absolutely adore how Courtney styles our pieces, working our Santorini’s back with an Elvis T-Shirt made us SQUEAL big time!

Courtney is one of our delightful community, and took some time to answer a few questions for our STATEMENT blog series. We speak with Courtney about what’s inspiring her right now, her favourite earring (yep we made her choose) and why she is just going for it with things that make her happy this year!

Favourite pair of Fred & Gingers?

Oohhh.. tricky.  All of them?  Being forced to choose I would say my bright blue Santorini earrings – I can’t help but feel happy wearing them and get so many compliments! They’re such a fantastic colour, and unique style.

What have you got your eye on at the moment at Fred & Ginger (what’s your next purchase)?

I always have my eye on what might be next in my collection! I think it would have to be the Andy statements (as I have the Edie and love them), or the Morocco.. or the Envy Statements… see, I really can’t pick just one!

How do you feel when you wear your Fred & Gingers?

Fun, bright, bold, fashionable, feminine!

Have you had any compliments? What’s the best one you have received?

All the time! Most often the conversation winds up with me telling people where they can buy them and directing them to the @fredandginger.co Instagram, and/or talking about my girl crush on Mel from MasterChef. People can’t help but be drawn to the beautiful colours and unique shapes.

Words of wisdom/favourite quote?

(words of wisdom I guess!)

If the past year or so taught me anything, it’s to embrace things that make you happy.  If that’s glitter, or colour, or statement earrings, or dressing more vibrantly, or something else (or all of the above!) – I encourage you to make the most of it.

Who inspires you right now?

So many, but in particular it’s people I spend a lot of time with and that is my colleagues in my team at work – through the past year and a half they have worked so incredibly hard to deliver amazing results and experiences for our students (we work at a uni) despite all the challenges covid has sent our way.  I’m very proud of them, and even prouder to be part of that team.

Oh, and Mel on Masterchef as I watch every episode and probably spend more time thinking about how much I want her entire wardrobe than I do thinking about the food!
